Peace be with you, my friends.
In our day and age, we sure do talk a lot, do we not? I know that is true in my own life. We talk at social gatherings. On Social Media, we post our thoughts and beliefs, using memes, pictures, words, and other communication tactics. We talk on the phone. We send emails. Even our cultural attitude is about “talking.” We are taught to express yourself. To be your own person. All of this shapes us into a “talking” people. The Scriptures, however, teach us a profound truth in two simple words. Shut…..Up. Be Silent and know God. If we want to know God, then, and grow closer to God, we must learn to practice silence. To speak less and listen more
As Lent continues, then, we focus our attention on the next Spiritual Discipline of the Christian Life: Silence.
You can prepare for the service, March 26, 2023, by reading Psalm 46.
It is my prayer and hope to see you there and, if you are able to attend it, I pray that God richly bless you during the service.
As always, if you are unable to attend, you can livestream our service right here at 9am
With compassion, love, and prayer,
Pastor Michael
