Peace be with you, my friends.
Lent is almost at an end. We soon enter into the final silence. We soon enter into the final week of Jesus’ life.
This upcoming week is the beginning of Holy Week.
During Holy Week, we focus our attention on the main events and activities of Jesus’ final week of life, leading up to His Resurrection. All throughout the world, Churches gather for the purpose of centering our souls into these moments.
This upcoming Sunday, April 2, we focus on Jesus’ Triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
On Thursday, April 6, we focus on the Last Supper.
On Friday, April 7, we focus on His Crucifixion.
On Saturday, April 8, we focus on His Burial.
And on Sunday, April 9, we focus on the Resurrection!
I hope and pray you are able to make it to each of these services. Holy Week can be quite busy, I know. However, by coming to these services, our hearts, minds, and souls are better prepared for Easter. These services, when we come to them, make Resurrection Sunday all that more powerful and meaningful. So, I want to encourage and welcome you. I urge you, come to those services. Rest in Holy Week. Rest in the silence. Rest in the final week leading up to Resurrection.
Therefore, wherever you are, find a Church and go to these services, my friends. If you are in my area, you can come to either Naples Trinity Federated Church or Dansville United Methodist Church to attend these various services. All are welcome to attend!
