Easter
He is Risen!
A season in which we focus on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the work of Salvation. What does that even mean, though? Like every major Biblical concept, the reality of Salvation is multi-faceted. Therefore, over the course of the next few weeks, all throughout the Easter season, we will explore both the Resurrection and the work of Christ’s Salvation, which was brought to us through His Resurrection.
Last Sunday, Rev. Jeri Kober preached in my stead and did a wonderful job preaching on how we understand and experience Salvation through the reality and context of being reconciled back into right relationship and fellowship with God. This upcoming Sunday, we will explore how Salvation is understood and experienced through the reality and context of victory. In Christ, we have overcome evil. In Christ, we can have victory over sin. In Christ, we can live in willful obedience and love to God, and in willful service and love to others.
