Peace be with you, my friends.
When I was in the Navy, I held a Secret clearance. This meant that there were certain places and locations I could enter that other military members could not enter. However, I did not hold Top Secret clearance, which meant that there were certain places and locations that I could not enter. In other words, on one hand, I had privilege to enter, and on the other hand, I was denied privilege to enter.
All of you, even those of you who have not served in the military can relate to this. I am sure if you reflect upon your life, you can recall places and locations (or some other element) in which you had privilege to enter. A place like the grocery store. However, you can also recall places and locations (or some other elements) in which you could not enter.
This is a good analogy when we discuss Salvation. There was a time, before Christ, where we had not the privilege to be in the Presence of God. However, in Christ, we now have the privilege to enter into and be in the Presence of God.
As we continue our Easter Season Sermon Series on Salvation, I will be preaching on this reality. To be saved means that we can be in the Presence of God.
