Peace be with you, my friends.
The world would be boring without emotions. Beauty and truth would not be understood without emotion. Our essence and being would lack maturity without emotion.
How joyous it is to laugh. How joyous it is to weep. How joyous it is to be angered. How joyous it is to be content. How joyous it is to feel guilt. How joyous it is to feel pride.
We must thank God for emotions. They are a gift from the Divine, and through them, we come to fully know the Divine and experience the Divine. Through them, we come to the fullness of ourselves. With that stated, however, we must also recognize that we are all responsible for how we act within the context of our emotions.
This upcoming Sunday, I will be preaching on how to live in accordance and conformity to Christ and His Kingdom in the midst of frustration and anger. Such living is found in three simple words: “Do not grumble.”
