Peace be with you, my friends.
This upcoming Sunday, the UMC celebrates and partakes of the Eucharist in both unity and solidarity of spirit with many other denominations across the Globe. It is a Sacred time in which the UMC, and these other denominations, are reminded that we are all part of the same Body of Christ. Despite our differences, which include various forms of polity and various interpretations regarding doctrinal beliefs, we are a Family, united together by the Life, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thus, we partake of the sacred elements of the Eucharist, for in the Eucharist, we are united with Christ and we are united with one another.
I cannot encourage you enough to attend this most Holy Day. The Eucharist is at the center of the worship experience for it is the “source and summit of the Christian Faith.”
So, this Sunday, come to the Table and encounter Christ.
Come to the Table and encounter each other.
Come to the Table and be united with Christ.
Come to the Table and be united with your siblings in Christ, both in your congregation and in the wider Church throughout the world.
You can learn more as you prepare for the service, Oct. 1, 2023, by reading Eph. 2: 11-20.
As always, if you are unable to attend, you can livestream our service right here at 11am.
You can also live stream it from our brand new website! www.dansvilleumc.org
