Witches, Wizards, and Warlocks. Next week is Halloween. Whether some Christians celebrate it or not, we cannot deny the reality that our modern society celebrates Halloween every year. During such time, it is common to encounter the elements of Halloween, some of which, we might even practice. From carved pumpkins to Halloween decorations; from trick or treating to kids (and adults) dressing up for the holiday; from bonfires to visiting “haunted homes,” Halloween is full of various elements.
Moreover, Halloween is never complete without the “spooky story.” Interestingly enough, the Bible has its fair share of weird and spooky stories. We tend to ignore them because we have a propensity to focus on what Jesus said, but they are there. One such story in the Bible deals with a witch and necromancy…
