The UWF (formerly known as the United Methodist Women) is open to all women, regardless of denomination or church affiliation. We meet the first Tuesday of every month in the Sunday School wing at 6:00. We open each meeting with prayer and devotion before getting down to business. We work with the Missions Committee to plan and participate in community projects such as the hat, mitten, scarf, and glove tree in the Church Park at Christmas, Project Christmas through Livingston County Office of the Aging, and the Red Bird Mission shoebox collection which is a national outreach project. One of our most important ministries is preparing funeral dinners when asked by families in the community and church members. We also take up collections to meet the needs of various organizations such as Patty’s Basket, the Food Pantry, and Livingston County Office of the Aging. Last, but not least, we make financial donations to Theresa House in Geneseo and Vincent House in Wayland each year.
